Seiki TV's
Well I just changed all the Seiki TV's out in
Our 2016 Miramar 34.2 to Samsung Smart TV's
Not something I thought I would have to
do with a new motorhome, but well worth
the move if we are going to travel all
over the country with this rig. I really can't
believe that Thor put these cheap TV's
in their Motorhome's

We don't use ours much and then just over the air channels so we've had no issues with the Seiki.

Seiki TV
Mostly the sound quality (speakers) with ours, otherwise they work ok.
The outside tv, we can run through the radio speakers, but the sound on the tv in side, doesn't have that option.

Was anyone having issues with signals on these? One campground they all program and the next only half. Thought it was signal strength until I ran a direct line to tv from the post and still nothing.

Mcars - this subject has been discussed to death. There are two tuners used for digital TV signals ATSC (which the older SEIKI TVs use) can only handle over the air signals. The newer technology used by cable companies is QAM. If you are in a park that supplies cable encoded with QAM, you will not be able to see that.
You have several choices. Replace all three TVs with the Samsung Smart TVs (about @200). Or buy a digital tuner with HDMI out to feed one TV at a time.
good Luck!

As the saying goes, "Seiki's Suck!". I changed out mine too, did it right after my first campground stay with no cable!

I must be fortunate.. 5000 plus miles from Indiana to Nevada and back... no issues with my Seiki TVs... I must be hitting all the right places... I have to admit the speaker location on the front TV is not optimal for the TV location, but that's a Thor design issue... had they mounted the swing mount a little higher the speakers wouldn't be muffled by the overhead bunk. They used to offer a sound bar but that option apparently went away on our model. We're going to mount a sound bar under the cabinet above the dinette and I suspect that should resolve any volume issues. The bedroom TV is fine as is...

No, QAM is original digital signal technology used by the cable companies. The newest technology is encrypted and you will get no cable channels from that without an external conversion box or, if your TV is capable, a CableCard.

My friend has the 2017 Thor Vegas. It has the newer SEIKI that has both QAM and ATSC tuners. In addition, it has the King OTA antenna that doesn't need to be raised and lowered. I guess Thor listens to us.

You would have to buy one with HDMI out. Run the cable through the window in the room where the TV is. Connect to cable box. Plug the HDMI cable to the HDMI for the TV.

Just took delivery of my 2018 Windsport and it has Axxera televisions. I called the 800 number with the literature to see if they had quam tuners since I changed all my Seikis in the Vegas out. I spoke to a person in tech support who said they did in fact have quam tuners, he was actually very nice, and explained that they are the electronic supplier for RV's and that the manufacturer told them they needed quam tuners in the tv's. So maybe they do listen.

Yes... I used cable at several campgrounds. One campground did need to provide a remote but again all I needed to do was plugin the cable. I do have to have the power antenna off when plugged into cable.
I also have the newer roof antenna that you don't crank up and down. A big plus..
