Cup holders

Thor makes the worse front console cup holders that sit on top of the doghouse. Way too big to hold any cups properly. Everything just falls all over the place. Anyone else encounter this problem or solutions to offer?

cup

I took it off and recycled it. I just put carpet on it and the dogs love it.
The cup holder is on the passenger side.

Ewok,
We removed ours also. Didn't replace them with ones for the sides of the seats, but that is probably something coming on down the road.
We are contemplating putting a small table on top of the doghouse, such that the table surface is at about the same level as the dash. If we do that, I'll have cup/bottle holders in it and a lip to keep the snack plate from falling off.
Really like snacking while going down the road.

I hate the cup holders Thor has too! Customers have complained about the cup holders being shallow and not holding anything for years but Thor doesn’t listen.

I bought these cup holders from Amazon, cut about 1/2 to 3/4” off the bottom, use 3M Weatherstrip adhesive and glue in to existing cup holders. These adapters hold just about anything, I use the thin neoprene can insulators on smaller items. Hhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DZCE6I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used these: https://www.lowes.com/pd/4-in-dia-PV...dapter/3131119

I painted them black and glued them into the current holders. Works great.

dog house

I didn't put anything on mine as it got in the way getting in and out, some non skid shelf stuff keeps my snacks in place by the radio and instrument cluster.
The cup holder that SuperD posted look great. State Trailer has several in there store.

I chose those particular cup holders because they have a notch for cup handles and I usually have a Bubba Mug sitting in mine, they hold my big mug securely.

Here is our solution. I like the height and also having cups on your right when driving

I like that table, Mo Mike. We have a Challenger. It has a table and post for that location, but the table doesn’t have cup holders, and it’s too large for me to easily get in and out of the driver’s seat.

I wonder if someone makes and sells a small table with cup holders like the one in your pic, that fits on the post.

We actually got the "wooden table" at Home Depot for about 8.00, then the cup holders on Amazon for about 2.00 each.

The base for the pole was also Amazon for about 10.00 (using existing pole) Then just used a hole saw for the cup holders, stained and polyurethaned the wood, and instant table.

I agree, the table designed for that area is a little large, and the cup holders are a BIG improvement. And, being a large drinker, I wanted a two holer on my side <grin,>

We use the same parts and sprayed them flat black. We didn't glue them in place (yet) but they hold cups very well even without being glued down.

Cool Cut Holders

Well being a USAF SP K9 , I decided to kook into what sort of cup holders I would need as I see the same cup holder problem you folks have seen. I decided that I wanted the cup holders off the dog house and to the RH side of me. I wanted my cup holder to be able to handle other issues so I decided the best for me was to hand the blasted cup to the bride / DW sitting at my right hand side. It gives her something to do other than yack about my driving besides it's hard for me to grab a cup of Joe whilst in motion and operation. It has been quite pricey but once ya get her clean up she ain't that bad! Oops her she comes down the hall. Gotta go...what , yes dear I'll take the trash out right now after I sign off. I was just talking some two stuff with some other RV'ers. If you hear and gun shots one of ya can get a good deal...just saying! < K9Piper <

I purchased a 2"x1.5" PVC coupling at local hardware store.... painted black ....fits & works perfect even on larger Yeti cups

Too funny!

BTW I’m a USAF Security Specialist vet (78-82). Woulda loved to go K9 but, sadly, I didn’t go for it when I might have and realized much later how much I missed out on.

I like the idea of these....what is the reduction diameter? the Lowes site, under specifications labels both sides as 4 inch....
