So Cal 2019 Fall Rally

Hi everyone,

Ive been thinking about this for a while and think its time to do a So Cal rally.

The dates will be November 7-11 (changed from 1-3), 2019 Friday- Sunday

Right now I'm looking for a head count.

Ive called several campgrounds and they need an estimate number of rvs that will be going. Right now we are looking at Pechanga casino (first choice) in Temecula, or Canyon RV in Anaheim.

If Pechanga I was thinking about a group dinner at the buffet. At Canyon we could do a pot luck dinner. Everything else is just kicking back, bsing, or whatever you want to do.

SO if youre interested in joining please respond by adding your name to the list

Thanks Jerry

Sorry everyone disregard the date of my first post. Maria only works 3 or 4 days a month She just got home and said she will be working those days to cover for her boss

SO the new days are November 7-11, Thursday-Monday. This is Veterans day 3 day weekend. Pechanga casino requires a Friday to Monday stay over a holiday weekend.

We will be going on Thursday so we can make the all you can eat 1-1/2lb east coast lobster buffet. Ill probably eat 3 of them.

Ill add more info as I get it.

Jerry

We'll likely be there for a day at least.
I'm going to vote for Pechenga due to:
traffic
overall discontent of driving into Anaheim.

Jerry, does PECHANGA know the group as "Thor" rally or your name? As soon as Kate's up we'll call pechanga, one of our favorite campgrounds.

My name and I'm in site B25.
Pechanga only allows one group at a time and there was one reserved already

Hopefully theres still spots open. If there are try to get close to me. If not it's not a far walk to my site and I'll have chairs waiting for you

I'm not planning on doing much except eating at the buffet

Might do a group breakfast. Eggs pancakes on the blackstone griddle. Kind of a bring what you want to be cooked and I'll cook it

As time get closer I'll start planning a little better

Mainly I just want the group to meet hang out and get to know each other. They have the pool at the cg and for a fee the pool at the hotel. Golf and wineries are near by. Everyone is free to do as they like

I plan to eat the all you can eat lobster buffet Thursday. And would like the group at eat at the regular buffet saturday night

But anything and everything is open. Join the group or do things on your own. All is good

Jerry

We're very familiar with the area, we go a few times a year, it's our favourite local CG.
DW would like to host a continental breakfast on Sunday, details can be worked out later.

We want to check on the I-9 spot since it's across from everyone and seems to have a big 'backyard' to congregate in.
Good idea or not?
I'm not sure about the size of the spaces, and once some lawn chairs and tables are set up....

There is a guest pavilion at A and I with a number of chairs and tables as I recall and a large fire pit. There a number of sites that are larger but mostly they are fairly uniform in the new section.

We are new to moho’ing and are planning a trip through SoCal,on the way to Arizona.

What should we expect at an rv rally? Do we have to have buffet? I really hate buffets.
