Just to let you guys know I reached out to Thor several weeks ago asking for a rep to show up to speak about maintenance and to answer general questions we might have

My contact said she would check and get back to me. So far no update from her

I sent another email this afternoon. Hopefully she will get an answer. I'm not expecting this to happen so if it does it's a plus for the group

Jerry

I met the Regional Mgr last year at an RV Show
He lives in Menifee, so he's close to Pechanga

Cargo freight and consignment is no longer there. We were in P.S yesterday and the building is empty
To bad, fun shop if you're into all kinds of decorating styles and stuff.

Friday bump.

Thanks for the info on the consignment store.

In light of the store being gone, We've decided that palm springs on a holiday weekend isn't exactly the best plan.
We'll find something a little more local to do.

24.1 is gassed, dumped and loaded to go.

There are two antique stores in Temecula within a couple of miles of a campground that we've been to I don't recall mid-century modern but they're nice shop.

Coach gets a bath on Monday, a couple of small repairs and we're ready to go.

Just an FYI for those owners that have the F-53 Chassis and suffer from the California concrete slabes. The I15 is a rough ride from the 91 to Temecula. If you can avoid the right and center lanes, do so. My rig literally shakes everything off the dash, GPS, phones, tire minder, etc.

FYI, We just got back from the Lucerne Valley. I was able to test my Weboost cellular booster for the 2nd time. We were about 15 miles from Barstow and in the middle of no where and had a good enough signal to stream Amazon Prime. I have it matched with the Visible ($40/Month) unlimited data plan teathered to a wifi router. It really works nice. Pretty much had 15mbs download and upload most of the time. I can demonstrate the setup at Pechanga if anyone is interested. I think we are in A20.

No argument there, California roads are in terrible shape. We took the 101 north to San Francisco and it was a beating.

Less than two weeks away. Really looking forward to this trip just to relax. I finally finished the two bedroom remodels. Only thing left is to hang some pics on the wall of the office/guest room.

It was a lot of work but worth it. making the guest room comfortable for my daughter and new granddaughter when they visit.

This weekend Ill be helping my friend set up his lighting at The City of Bellflower theater. They are doing Lion King. Im helping 3 days. Ill need to get the mh ready Tuesday and Wednesday before the trip SO Ill be busy again

So I haven't heard anything from Thor about getting a rep to the rally. Think Ill call a local dealership and see if they want to send someone.

Plans again are:
Thursday lobster buffet

Friday Maria and I are going into town to walk the shops and have lunch. Friday is her birthday and this is what she wants. So that's what she gets

Saturday breakfast at my site. I was going to bring a bunch of bacon but its a big mess on the Blackstone so that's out. I plan to get sausage instead. Much easier to cook.

We might have access to another Blackstone so cooking may go faster.

So bring your eggs, pancakes, or whatever you want and Ill cook it for you.

Plus Paul is bringing fruit and pastries

Saturday is looking like the buffet again. I don't feel like cooking. But if the group decides on something else we're game.

Sunday night is group bbq. Ill get up early so I can be at the office to reserve the bbq area. Bring your steaks, chichen, fish whatever and it will get cooked. Bring your side dishes also.

Monday we go home with a full belly and happy meeting new friends.

Two days after that I hit San Diego and jump on the Red Rooster 3 for a 11 day fishing trip. Tuna, Wahoo, yellowtail, and Dorado (Mahi Mahi) Cant wait.

If anyone has any questions or suggestions nows the time to aske

I couldn't use the regular E450 front hitch receiver mount I bought.
I used an s10 blazer rear hitch narrowed five inches and flipped upside down due to my front leaf springs being in the way.

Punchline:
I have a new, with mounting hardware, E450 front receiver with hardware. I bought it on etrailer.com
After you cut a 2" square hole behind your front license plate the hitch bolts on in about 25 minutes.

If you think you'll ever be hauled up on a flatbed or towed from the mud, you really really want this.

$75 bucks delivered to the casino rv park.

Let me know if you want it and I'll drag it along.

Another food update!!!!!

Kent, Papamo, is bringing his Blackstone and an electric griddle. He is also supplying all the pancake batter and will cook them on his griddle.

Dave, Sundance, is bring 3 dozen eggs, tortillas, cheese, and salsa.(breakfast burritos)

Ive got sausage. Maybe bacon

To make everything easier I plan to do scramble eggs.

Paul, Pmorris, is bringing pastries and fruit.

So I think we have breakfast covered for everyone. If you want something special bring it and it will get cooked for you.

Don't forget to bring plates and forks!!!

Sunday is the bbq!!

I plan to be at the office before they open so I can reserve their bbq. If that is unsuccessful we will have to use plan B. Plan B is using some of the groups bbqs.

Does anyone use a bbq with 1 lb or 20 lb tanks. I only use a charcoal bbq and they are not allowed at Pechanga.

My thoughts are if we cant get the cg bbq then hopefully 2 or 3 of you have portable bbqs and tanks. I know Dave Sundance has one. If we can get a couple others JUST in case we need them that would be great.

Kent and I could cook the steaks chicken etc on the blackstones but bbqs grill them much better.

Remember to bring your sides. Not really a pot luck for sharing mainly for your selves. If you have extra and want to share that's fine.

Im sure we will have way to much food for breakfast and the bbq so bring your appetite.

Ran the generator today.
Checked the fridge.
Checked tire pressure.

We're coming in a day early and staying at a park in Temecula.
The closest harvesthosts golf course makes harvest host people buy a round of golf, so our first harvest host stay was quashed.
