Sprinter Usable Fuel

Hello .......

I'm one of these guys that doesn't like going below 1/4 tank of diesel fuel. Last couple of trips we did get to the point where the fuel light did come on. Both times we were able to fill up pretty quickly and added just over 20 gallons.

Question is, out of the 24.5 gal tank in my 2016 Sprinter how many gallons are usable? When the light comes on I'm hoping to go at least another 45 miles.

Anyone have experience going down to the last drop of fuel?

Thanks!!!

Does the manual for the chassis discuss the fuel capacity?
They will often note in there how fuel is available, when the warning light comes on.

My suggestion is to install a ScanGuage 2. It plugs into your OBD-2 port and will give you the information in real time. E.G. How many gallons of fuel am I using per hour and how long I can drive on the fuel left in the tank. Plus lots more information.
