To store or not to store...
Do Vegas/Axis owners store the sofa pedestal table while traveling down the road for safety? In the 25.2 there is no front slide, so theoretically one does not need to remove it. There will be just the two of us, so we would probably leave the sofa table in place all the time if it is safe to do so.
We certainly would remove the small table between the cab seats and would not drive with that table in place. It would be too hard to get out of the cab seats in an emergency.
I did not find anything in the Thor materials on this issue.
What do you all do? Are there any other items you store for safety besides small loose items?

We had an Axis 25.2 and if we knew we would need the dinner table, we'd lay it on the sofa. Think we stood it up behind the driver seat and used a bungie cord to secure it. I know many will scold me but we used to use the small front table to hold lunch or snack items going down the road. If you only eat when no- one is near you it's never been a problem with us. Also would put the travel cage for our Green Cheek Conure " Beau" on it....he loves to RV!!! Lol

We always stored out pedestal table when moving.
I'm not even sure that we could leave it out: the spot to plug it into the floor might have been covered up when the slide was in...

My daughter owns a Green Cheek Conure named "Sencha". Hopefully my daughter will only bring her two Poms with her and not her whole menagerie (5 snakes, 2 turtles, 2 lizards, 1 axolotl, 1 bird, 2 guinea pigs, many fish, etc.)

We also had a 25.2. We stored our table under the jackknife couch. We kept the small pedestal table up all the time. I never once considered driving with it there, a safety issue. Maybe that lack of safety consciousness, is why I have so many plates and screws in this old body!

I have an ACE not the Axis but the same layout fro the front seats and table. We decided to make our own table and not mess with the original one, added much needed and useable cup holders plus a place to hold snacks.
By gaveling it off centered it not in the way when getting in or out of either seat

There's just two of us most of the time, and now we store the long table at home. I took the top off the oval table and attached a rectangular wood top to the base. It came from Home Depot and is a top for a tool box. We use it either in the front or in the forward table slot in our 25.2. It's just enough bigger than the oval to allow room for two plates, a beverage and dinnerware. With a third person you might use two of these.
It can ride nicely upside down on the bed. With a rear slide, the bed fold will help keep it in place. We have also put it upside down under the mattress in the front overhead bed. Doubt that would work with the earlier inflatable mattress.

Hello CrazyCampers, we leave the long table at home. Like Mr Sunshine its only the 2 of us so we just use the small table. We always leave it set up in the position in font of the sink. 15k miles and never have had a problem with it falling. Works for us!

Besides the rectangular table, we take a small wood TV tray for the occasional guest. It is normally stored under the jack knife sofa. On the road, we leave the table in the mount by the sink, like Chucke.
Here's a tip: to stop the annoying sounds the table makes going down the highway, put wax paper between the base and the pole.

Thanks for the tip! The table top is pretty big for just the two of us.
I might get a new rectangular tabletop off Amazon that I saw that is a little bigger than the oval to use instead of the big one.

Does anyone know if this base would work to add under the tabletop? I can't measure ours since its in storage.

I was also thinking of buying a collapsible ottoman to use for extra seating and TV watching.
