Sumo or No Sumo

Contemplating getting some Sumo springs for my Vegas. Wondering whether I should go just front, rear, or both ? Anyone have a ball park cost on them? Appreciate it and thanks.

We installed size SSF-106-40 front Sumo Spring on our 2016 Axis 25.2. We bought them from Amazon. Looks like you could get them for $156.38. The 25.2 has a longer wheel base with less rear overhang which makes the front axel weight closer to the maximum than other Axis. The Sumo Springs replaced the hard rubber bump stops with a softer micro-cellular urethane “spring”which can support 500 lbs at half compression. They help support the coach weight and drastically reduced the side whip of entering driveways and the jarring affect of the front axel bottoming out on the hard rubber bump stops. They also reduced the affect of side winds and being passed by trucks. I was very happy with the results of installing the front Sumo Springs.

One hand on the wheel...no hands on the wheel while passing a semi at 70+MPH? And drifting all over the road. Real smart!!

you missed where I was holding the camera in one hand, and a beer in the other..pretty sure the video was to show how well the 158"" wheel base handled after the sumo's and other mods I did to the 26 he.... the section of road was horrible... but I lived through it...thanks for posting...

I've seen some pretty scary prices for installing these...
(2018 E-450, with a 209" wheelbase.)
Is this pretty much a "do NOT do it yourself" project?

I was thinking that I could use the leveling jacks to get the tires off the ground...

what i'm try'n to say here is this,.. if you installed sumo's and didn't get the results you wanted,... they can be tuned to what you do... the bags, different heights and durometers , the yellow bags are the stiffest, and some applications, it's just too harsh,.. the bags are progressive so they need to have the right preload to get the best ride...I usually get a new coach every year... and have come to the conclusion that I only like stuff that needs fixed,.. I get them to where they are pretty awesome, then go get a new one that needs everything..wife wants to have my meds checked and is not very happy with the "honey I shrunk the rv"... went from an Alpine DP that was total restored to a 24.1 vegas… I'm happier than a clam on high tide.... her not so much.....lol... every time I show it to her same response …"NICE" very CUTE!!!

You're right...nothing can hone in the senses like a good cold one on the road. My wife has to hold my rum-n-coke while I drive since Thor didn't put a single cup holder in the cab!!

Sorry to drift off topic for a second.

I'm drifting with you. Very nice looking coach!! I love the solid white with no "Tribal Stripes". And that trailer...with windows...you gotta tell us about that and what's in it!! How do you use it? I hate to come peeking in your windows.
