Welcome to all the new folks that will be joining us! Just a week away now, still plenty of room for your RV, or just come for part of the weekend. New friends and a good time guaranteed!

Really would like to attend, but having to watch the grandsons after school takes a toll on what we can do or where we can go.

Hey, Mitch- You are right where you are supposed to be, no excuses necessary. Enjoy them while you can!

News Flash! Our Saturday morning Thor rep will be James Dean, back by popular demand! You won't want to miss this.

For those who arrive early enough on Friday, we will have some time with another Thor superstar, George Grimm! He is the SE Regional Manager of the A and C Divisions, and a wealth of Thor knowledge. He will be sharing with us before lunch and will participate in the tour of General RV later in the afternoon.

Seems like someone said they were bringing a big batch of pulled pork to the potluck on Friday. Not sure if they are on the reservation list or not. If that was you, please PM me.

Counting the days!

For those of you coming to Ocala this weekend, see ya real soon!

Just a reminder, we usually have folks show up without a RV. Some are just at the shopping stage, and some can't bring their RV for some reason. All are welcome.

Another reminder, we'll have James, the Thor rep who was so popular last spring on Saturday morning! Y'all come!

Most likely we will be arriving late Friday after 6p (coming from ATL). Just to confirm the pot luck is Friday, we will miss that.. We really don't need to bring anything for Saturday night? ?? Other than adult beverages?

For you folks coming in early, you are in for a treat. We are going to have a visit from George Grimm, who is the regional Thor rep for Class A and Class C. He's coming on Friday morning at 9:30 and he's bringing treats!
Those of you coming that have a choice, it will be helpful if you bring your toad, since we'll be crossing the interstate to go to the Don Garlits Museum at 1PM. It will be a self guided tour, so you are welcome to come anytime in the afternoon.
Then at 4 we'll be given the grand tour at General RV. One of our members was really impressed with a similar tour recently.
When the tour is over, we'll be zipping back to Ocala RV Resort for our potluck dinner. Our group will likely linger after dinner, so latecomers may still find plenty to eat.
Planning to have the fan favorite James Dean Saturday morning at 10.
The group will decide about Saturday evening's meal on Friday after dinner. We have options, at the fall rally we ordered pizzas. At the last spring rally, we brought in Italian. There might be enough left overs that we won't need to bring in anything!
Not too late to make plans to come join us for the whole weekend or any part!

Oh, one more thing...we have 17 rigs registered for this weekend. For those of you within range who can't join us this time, plan to join us in October when we'll gather again.

spring rally

I'm saddened to say we had to cancel our trip to be with all of you, my wife had a heart attack this past weekend so we are staying here. Don't worry she has had problems for along time, and we are sure she will be fine after she gets the meds under control. I really wanted to meet at this rally, sounds like you have some things I would have enjoyed. Hoping to see you at the fall rally. have fun and be safe.

Hi everyone. Do we have a central gathering place or time? Seems like the clubhouse is right by our sites.

So sorry to hear this and wishing her a speedy recovery. Put that first weekend of October on your calendar and we'll see you then!

Several rigs here, and more on the way! That was some rainstorm at 4AM, so if we're not gathered behind my Vegas on 156 we will be in the clubhouse at 9:30 with the Thor rep. He's bringing some eats, too!

We got the call that an old business associate passed away Tuesday. Service is Saturday at 10AM. Unable to make this gathering...very sadly. I was looking so forward to meeting everyone. Not to be snide, but does anyone remember the old movie..."Soylent Green"? You could pick the date, time and theme for your own death. It used to be kid birthdays every weekend...now it's funerals. You guys enjoy and we'll see you at the Fall Rally for sure!!

Spring Rally

Congratulations to the organizers of the spring rally. Hopefully the 2020 spring rally will be in Ocala so we can attend.

Would be nice if someone posted a summary and some photos.

What a great time our group had in Ocala this weekend! So great seeing friends from past rallies and so many new faces. For the first time, we had two travel trailers, a big diesel coach and a new super C, besides a bunch of Vegas/Axis coaches. 17 rigs in all, every one carrying the Thor brand. We had one guy join us from the RV park.

We were blessed with visits by two regional (7 state) Thor experts. They shared some encouraging reasons to stay with Thor in the future, and addressed concerns both general and specific. Most of us took James up on his offer of individual attention. Nice to be heard by the company.

A few of us went to the surprising Don Garlits Museum. (Who knew they had 160 dragsters and 92 classic and antique autos?) Several of us took a tour of the new General RV dealership. Our Saturday evening meal served 35 people.

We welcomed folks without their RVs, had some great food, and best of all some great camaraderie with some of the finest folks you'll ever meet.

Here's a few photos, hard to capture a group like this while respecting privacy concerns. Sorry the photo of the Thor rep flipped sideways, James earned not just one, but two standing ovations!

A big thanks to all the folks who pitched in to make it all happen!

But wait, there's more! Our group will be taking a little break (178 days) and then we'll gather again in St Augustine! Stay tuned for details coming soon.
