Thor 30.1 TV speakers

I have a 30.1 and I am having a difficult time figuring out if the TV sound can be played over the stereo speakers (of dash head unit).

Any suggestions? I was told that I might have to run RCA cables if this is what I want.

Thanks for any information in advance,

Socal Josh

I use an FM transmitter on the tv to get sound over the FM stereo.

Okay, I was told that I couldn't do that. Can you please explain how you've got things hooked up? The sound from the TV is pitiful.

Thanks!

I got a Bluetooth transmitter off Amazon that works for what you want to do. Jim.

What will work for you depends on the capabilities of your TV and stereo... and how accessible things are to each other.

If both have RCA jacks - or headphone out on TV and aux audio in on radio - certainly running cables is an option - though often not the easiest thing to do in an RV.

As long as the TV has an audio out (headphone jack) - it can feed a transmitter...
That transmitter can be either FM based (tune radio to preset FM station) or Bluetooth - depending on the radio's capabilities.

FM example: https://www.amazon.com/Doosl-Univers...dp/B018QN4INM/
Bluetooth example: https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetoot.../dp/B00P20TFWM
(Note: I haven't used either of these specific devices - they are just examples...)

If the available TV outputs don't match the transmitter - an adapter may be needed... (RCA to headphone... changing headphone jack size.. etc)

If there are NO audio outputs on the TV - then you have more of a challenge - but most SHOULD have something.

Thanks for the info.

I have a Jensen and it doesn't have a headphone jack. After I posted I realized that I should have said that.

I've got a nice Toshiba TV in my classroom that will replace the Jensen after I retire at the end of the year. Can't wait for both.

We have a 2014 ACE 30.1. I forget which TV we have. But I added one of these sound bars: https://www.walmart.com/ip/VIZIO-29-...20-C6/43737417.

It does need 110 power so I can't use it with the tv when we run on 12V only. It is also a Bluetooth speaker and I can use it with my tablet and/or phone to play music. Sound is awesome when used with all media. Looks good mounted under the TV. I'd post a pic but the unit is in storage.

You could try mounting a sound bar under your tv and then hooking to the audio output jacks. You can purchase relatively inexpensive sound bars from Amazon.
