Thor ACE corrosion around batteries

Picked up my new 2017 Thor ACE 29.3 a week ago. Have been doing inspection and getting to know the coach. One thing I have found is quite a bit of corrosion around the base of the "house batteries". The batteries themselves look fine but I don't understand where the corrosion would be coming from. Any experience, ideas and or recommendations would be appreciated

Is it just under one battery or both? Is the big white splotch to the left of the battery part of the issue?

Corrosion around batteries is relatively normal and has to be cleaned away periodically.

Surprised your dealer did not clean that before you took delivery.

There is a specific paint you can use in the battery compartment to ensure the corrosion does not cause further damage to the battery compartment itself.

Baking soda and water is a good solution to clean the battery box.

That's pretty common. The auto parts store has a spray neutralizer, spray everything, wait a few minutes and then gently rinse with a hose.
