There are lots of great folks in FMCA but yes, you will find a bad apple or two every now and then. Don't let them discourage you - they really need more members of the current generation of motorhome owners. The organization as a whole is only what you make of it and we have met several great families during the rallies that we have attended.

I have been a member of FMCA a very long time. I am truly sorry for the experience you had, that is not normal and should NOT have happened! There are a few snobs, I just ignore them, I concentrate on the rest of the people who are friendly and nice, the snobs aren't worth my concern! I got mad enough one time though, the grumpy old Marine came out, and told one of the snobs he could kiss the big red X tattooed on my ass right in front of a lot of people and I didn't use my inside voice. His buddies laughed so hard at him and he was so embarrassed he went back to his coach! Jerk!
