Thor Serrano
We bought a 2017 Thor Ace 27.2 a year ago, our first MH Camper, but the kitchen counter is way too small, and other things we don't like.
We saw a used Thor Serrano yesterday and it is so much better than the ACE.
Just wondering if anybody out there has a Serrano, and what you like, dislike about it.
It is a front diesel engine.
Pros and cons, Please.
TIA

We bought a 2012 Serrano 33W last October, upgrading from a 2009 Forest River Georgetown 340 TS SE. We have really enjoyed it. We have had a number of extended weekend trips, a trip to Virginia and a trip to the Florida Keys. Even with the engine in front, it is much quieter than our last two Class A gassers. At 65 MPH the engine is only turning 1500 RPM, barely over an idle, and extremely quiet. You didn't mention which model Serrano you were looking at, but we adore the layout of ours. It has the televator directly across from the sofa. Seats are all very comfortable and DW likes the kitchen. Ours has the full wall slide and washer/dryer combo, which we have used and like. We have had a few minor things occur, but nothing serious by any means. I actually searched for this model for almost a year before we found it. In short, we love it. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that we average 12 MPG and it handles great!

Oh, I just noticed that you want negative items, too. My wife commented that the bed is a little high, but I don't have a problem jumping in at night! All i can recall are the positives. Let me know if you want more pluses. I could probably list so many that i would sound like a salesman!

Very happy with ours. 2012 34M. Love the MPG! 1 1/2 bath. Only draw back is wish we had a king bed. Lots of bang for the buck...

Are you still looking ???
I have a 31Z 2011 It has its issues and Design flaws however I have worked through them .. Love the outside storage.. and my Diesel mileage for a A model is 13.4 . Love it..Ride is a little rough but Sumo springs helped..Added two more fans to engine for dessert driving...and a lot of other things. The love of RVing.. Its a hobby not a Vehicle.

Welcome to the forum, taylor-rob. Glad to hear that there are more satisfied Serrano owners out there. We still have ours and enjoy it immensely. Already planning for another outing!

Serrano owner
Just finished a 2 year renovation on a 34M. We LOVE it! Bath and a half, great mileage, comfortable. Very underrated coach IMHO.

If you end up buying this coach, please take a good look at the mirrors. We LOVE the "Euro-style" (they hang down and look cool!). A shop recently broke one of mine off. The repair did not work and they are discontinued. After weeks of searching I found a suitable replacement made by the same company but they were VERY expensive ($2,700). If they were smacked at a toll booth or in my case backed into at a lot, the internal serrated gears can brake and they won't hold position at highway speeds.

My passenger side mirror would slowly "move in" with wind and bumpy roads. I couldn't see an easy way to tighten it so I just wedged a small rubber shim to hold it tight. Can't see the shim from the ground and has held it's position for 12k miles.
