Tips for selling MH.

We are going to put our Thor ACE 30.1 up for sell. I have it emptied, clean and will take several pics and list it on RVTrader, Irv2 and Thor Fourms. I will get with my bank to see how to set the payment up for wire transfer. After the wire transfer, is it just a matter if signing the title over to them? It is a clean title, we own it outright. Would I meet the buyer at my bank for the transfer? If the buyer wants a test drive, since they are not on my insurance I guess I will have to drive and just let them ride with me. Am I missing something? Any other tips?

Wire transfer:
Be prepared to show a prospective buyer that ALL of the systems in coach work as they should...
Taking the time to show them how to use them is even better!
Test rides in motorhomes are an "iffy" thing... since it's empty: it's gonna rattle like a tray full of dishes getting pitched down the cellar stairs...
Good luck with the sale; are you planning on replacing it?

Our plan is to sell our MH, toad, S&B, buy a 5th wheel and and 3/4 ton truck and go FTing.

Letting them drive it would be a personal decision.

My understanding of driver's insurance, if given your permission, good to go.
When purchasing, your insurance will cover your drive home, at least with passenger vehicles.
Now, when it comes to the finance company, they wanted full coverage, BEFORE driving it off the lot.

I would base my decision finding out if they have ever driven a big rig comparable, then maybe you taking them for a short ride, could be justifiable.

Good luck on your adventure.

Yep, insurance covers the vehicle, not the driver. That's why it's covered even if someone stole it and wrecked it.

Depending on South Carolina's insurance regulations: you might not be correct.

New York's insurance regulations agree with you, but every State has their own rules as to how the game is played...

I actually just called my insurance company (Progressive) and asked them about having others test drive the MH. They said “maybe, maybe not”. To guarantee I’m covered I will have to call them and put whoever wants to test drive the MH and put them on the policy.
