Toad lights

I know brake, signal, night lights are required while being towed. But what about the third brake light and license plate light? Are they legally required to function as well?

licence plate: i would say yes since you allready have the running light signal (your night light)

3rd brake light: i'd say no since that would require a separate signal from the RV or truck before the converter.

It may vary by state. I can only answer for Idaho. Third brake light not required, license plate light required.
