TV sound question

We recently purchased a 2016 ACE 29.4. Since we live in an area that requires us to winterize, we have not really had an opportunity to try it all out. However, the kids wanted to watch a movie in it the first night, so we opened it up and settled in for a show on the main cabin television.

My question is around the sound. The only sound is currently being generated from the TV and its speakers. Is the main cabin television not wired into the Coach's main speakers? Our RV dealer told us that there wasn't anyway to get the TV sound to come through the main speakers in the coach (which I personally do not believe). Currently the only thing that will power any sound into the main cabin is the main in-dash radio/cd player.

Anyone have a similar experience? Is this an easy change/fix? Can I bluetooth the sound through the main stereo in the dash?

Thanks in advance!

I have a Hurricane and the TV's are not run through the sound system. I don't know about the Bluetooth route.

There is no "direct" way to do this. The Seiki 32" LED TV has an audio out on the side. You could run an audio cable from that to the coach's radio aux in. Or for about $40, you could buy a audio to Bluetooth adapter and pair that with the coach radio.

You absolutely can, (if your television has a headphone jack, and your dash radio has Bluetooth capability, (I think the Axxera does)). All you need is a Bluetooth transmitter, something like this from Amazon:

Just pair it up with your dash radio and you have the sound you desire.

What is the radio in your Ace? If it is an Axxera you can run a cable to the rear A/V input. i did this from the back of my unit to connect my Dish receiver.

Another possibility is to use a Bluetooth transmitter from your TV. You would connect it to the mini-jack and either power it from the USB on the back or the Seiki (does a Seiki have a USB) or use an adapter to power it from the TV power outlet.

A direct cable will give you a more satisfactory sound solution.

The TV speakers for mine sound terrible. I installed an audio amplifier behind the TV and two new speakers under the TV cabinet. Much better sound and I can blow the windows out if I choose to ☺️

We use a TaoTronics Bluetooth transceiver plugged it into the audio out jack on our A.C.E.’s Jensen TV and paired it to a Bose Bluetooth portable speaker. Much much better sound now.
