Upholstery cracking.
The vinyl on the drivers seat, couch and dinette are cracking. It's an eyesore for a motor home that is otherwise in great shape. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there any economical way to replace the vinyl or new seats?

Sadly, I think it’s a common problem. Thor makes mostly entry and mid market level products and that means they use cheaper materials than you’d hope for. (And it’s not just Thor that does this, I’ve had to reupholster two of my Fleetwood’s seats). Seats can be reupholstered but its expensive. Sometimes buying new ones costs less. Unfortunately I don think there are any other choices. Even selling or trading the coach is a problem of the seats are ugly.

You're the victim of a failed product called..."Pleather" or "Bonded Leather" as some call it. A blend of plastic and leather that failed over a short period. Rooms-2-Go spent millions fighting it. Best to just write it off...replace it...be happy. No one will stand behind it.

If you were lucky to have it last so long ours failed after 30 months. We now have seat covers from Camping World and new Rec Pro furniture in including a reclining love seat.

there's actually no leather in it...well not in mine anyway. It's just a very low grade of fake leather. They called it leatherette if I remember correctly....
Our sofa is downright embarrassing, and the cab seats are not far behind. I noticed the accent vinyl parts of the dinette in mine are finally just starting to crack. Anyway, I spent quite a bot of time looking for a non-rv sleeper sofa or futon that would fit. Struck out. In the mean time, DW bought some sofa covers to try. The first one was a nightmare...just didn't fit right. She just bought two more to try. I'm trying to get her to stop throwing money at a jury rig solution that will never fit right, and let's just bite the bullet for an upholstery shop...or maybe upholstery shop for everything but the sofa, and a whole new sofa (so we cna get rid of the air mattress in favor of something faster to set up).

Trying to cover them up changes a motor home into a mobile home. Might as well stand halfway out the door in your robe, smoking a cigarette, yelling at the kids..."get away from that wheelbarrow...you know you don't know nothin' bout machinery". Replace and forget. Enjoy it while you own it. too many times we deal with crap while we have it...redo everything (for someone else) at the last minute so we can sell it.

There is a whole sub industry selling decent RV seats. One possibility is to select a brand, style and fabric and spread the replacement process out over several months. It might make the budget a bit less tense.

aint that the way it is!?! Seems like that's the natural way of things....to put up with it till the end, then after fixing it say I should have done that a long time ago....even if it was a done jury-rigged/cheaper/faster than you would have done if it was for yourself.
.....but I prefer my boxers and no robe!
honestly though...a mobile home is all these things are anyway.....well except maybe the really high end ones, provost and similar.
which brings up a thought I've had a long time....."camping" really is not much more than living more simply than your norm....except it's usually done in a different location to be considered "vacation"
