Wireless headphones

I bought a wireless headphones with a transmitter for the tv, after 3 hours of trying to get it to work I gave up. It’s a Sony MDR-RF912RK. I have a Sony Multi Chanel AV Receiver STR-DH750. Also I have Direct TV. Tried the headphones on a friends that has the same headphones but a different setup and they do work.
I have a 2017 Moble Suites RSSB3.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Update: Spent 2 hours with Sony chat, and they had me try everything under the sun. Bottom line they will be sending me replacement headphones probably not the same.
