VEGAS engine water temperature

I was sitting in the driveway and running the engine and cab AC during a very warm (94 degree) MO day...

The TEMPERATURE gauge on the dash showed half-way between C and H ( which is what I would have expected)

However was setting up the OBD LINK and dashboard on a android display which showed the exact water temp.

The digital gauge showed over 200 degrees at which 220 (on this display) is in the red zone..

What should the MIN (now 60) and MAX (now 240) be on the 2016 V10?

200 to 220 is not abnormal. Remember, the system is under pressure to prevent boiling at 212 degress. Most thermostats don't even open until 180 to 195 degrees.

I just set up a OBD link on my ACE today. What software did you use? I'm trying Torque Light.

Just got back from a 2000 mile trip and my 2017 V10 stayed right at 206-207 degrees the whole time. Measured from OBD port with ScanGageII.

Since the thermostat is a mechanical device no two will be exactly the same, temperature variation of 5-10 degrees between vehicles is common. On our coach the engine runs at 203 degrees per a ScanGauge.
