Wifi

Has anyone found an internet connection that does not rely on campground wifi. Tired of low bandwidths or lack of connection.

Yep, it's called 4G.

If you don't already have it on your phone you may want to look at ATT's Mobley and $20 a month plan - best bang for the buck.

I bought a Wii boost and it works great it bounces off cell towers to give you a fast connection. I have Verizon but it doesn't matter what service you have since it locates nearest cell tower on all carriers.

Actually, it does. The Mobley or your phone acts as a "Hotspot" putiing out a WIFI signal you connect the laptop and printer to. It also acts as a router to allow the laptop to access the Internet.

Yep, Wireless tethering, not to be confused with USB or Bluetooth tethering.

If you have ATT and are on their unlimited plan. You can make your phone or any devise a hot spot and have wifi for free. I think other carriers have the same option.

Mobley Coming this Week

I have the ZTE Mobley coming this week. I also purchased the AC adapter from Amazon.

Will this work better than the hotspot that my iphone can create?

Those that are using Mobley, do you like it and why?

Any setup recommendations?

Reason for purchase: DW needs to work on-line while we are on vacation.
We have a MiFi from Verizon, but it does not work well from inside the RV.

We use a Verizon MiFi. Unlimited data, but it is throttled after 10GB. Our cell phones are AT&T and we have found Verizon to have better coverage.

We use it for our business and personal use and have had no problems.

It's unlikely the Mobley will work any better than your MiFi, unless ATT has better reception in the area than Verizon. Your only options are likely a cell phone booster or moving it to an area with less interference.

What the Mobley brings to the table is $20 unlimited data, which might be ending in the next month (nobody knows, but the current deal was set to run for purchases made until 7/17 I believe).
