Winter/Driving/Campgrounds?

We have a C class 31’ RV and bought it for mainly summer trips, but now are thinking about go to a ski area. How do these baby’s handle on snowy roads. It’s not something I’m necessarily looking forward to. I’m pretty sure all our water lines are run inside, except we do have an outside shower/faucet. Plus our grey and black tanks have heaters. So I’m not to worried about freeze up, also would be keeping it warm inside all the time. Are there even campgrounds open in the winter freezing areas? If so I would think all you could do is dry camp in there campgrounds as water and sewer hook up would be a no, right? Any one tried this cold weather RV’ing?

We sold our home and have just purchased our Ace 27.2 intended to be our tiny home to travel and see all the national parks. For our first trip we're driving from our home town in Central Arizona to Maryland for a wedding. Research offers slim pickings for RV campgrounds that are open all winter. I also hope some experienced people will help us out with some suggestions.

Open campgrounds in the winter are a little harder to find, but there are some that do remain open year around. Where we stay in Colorado they have full hookups year around with heated water spickets but you'll need to own a heated water hose. We had 9 inches of snow on the roof one winter when it was time to leave and had to sweep and then hose the slides off to be able to get them in to travel!

When we had our 5th wheel we had to use 4 wheel drive one winter to get through the campground to our camp site.

Welcome to the site.

Whereabouts in Maryland? https://www.cherryhillpark.com/ in College Park is open year round? (and is recommended by several members here; myself included)
