Zero G hoses

I bought the gray Zero G drinking water safe hoses. The water tasted awful. So I bought the blue RV/marine hose. It still tastes bad. I do have a filter. Has anyone else tried these? Does the taste eventually improve? I need about 50' of hose at my daughter's and was really hoping for a compact easy to store solution.

Are you using a water filter right before it goes into the RV?

I purchased the generic version of the Zero G at walmart. Its works fine and no funny tastes but I always filter my water before its enters my coach (on both gravity and city water feeds).

Try running some sort of cleaning solution through them, and see if it helps.
(an ounce of hydrogen Peroxide: in a gallon of water...)
Good luck!

When I sanitize my fresh water system I also sanitize my 2 fresh water hoses with the same solutions used for the coach.

I even made a mod to my coach which allows sanitizing the hoses with next to no additional effort.

We have the blue RV Zero G and have never had a bad taste. (Except where the water tastes bad before going into the hose.) have the gray ones at home and water tastes good out of those also.

I forgot to mention I always let the water run though the hose/filter for about 30 seconds to flush it out before I hook it up to the RV.

But you might want to use the bleach / peroxide idea mention above. Esp if the hose is brand new (in order to get rid of the bad taste).
