101 Coast Trip San Diego to Port Angeles, WA

Driving up the 101 coast from San Diego to Port Angeles, WA. month of May 2018. Any thoughts on areas along the coastline that may not be very scenic/ boring etc. We're avoiding San Francisco and Seattle areas. More interested in seeing the 101 coastal shoreline, small towns in Oregon & Washington. Plan to drive of 4-5 hrs. a day in 2018 30' Class C Thor Quantum staying at KOA's & Private RV Resorts.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Collin

Places to look at in Oregon, Lincoln city fills up fast may be too late, cannon beach, fort Stevens or seaside. Depending if you have a toad you can pick one place as a base camp and drive to the others. If you can’t get into the Fort Stevens area then Long Beach Washington. On the peninsula you will want to go to the HoH rain forest and the Olympic national park. If you have a passport when you get to Port Angeles taking the ferry to Victoria island is worth a trip. Guess it depends on what you want to see

Also Neah bay on the tip of Washington is good for whale watching. May is a good time along the Oregon and Washington coasts for that
