7,200 miles in our Four Winds

The title pretty much says it all. We left Florida in late May headed to our old stomping grounds on Whidbey Island, WA. All in all a great trip with only two problems along the way. On leaving Whidbey we pulled in to a Les Schwabb tire center to check the air pressure in the tires and the young lady helping us found a very low tire (30 lbs). She felt around the tire tread and found a screw that for sure should not have been there. Of course it was the inside rear tire! They went to work while we walked over to our favorite Mexican restaurant. By the time we got back it was remounted and ready to roll. Since we were old customers there was no charge for the repair.

About half way home the Seiki tv decided it was not in any mood to be a tv ever again. No big loss as it never was very good at its job. The rest of the trip home meant we had the opportunity to entertain ourselves with the musical instruments that we always travel with and we never missed the tv at all.

All in all a great trip. Next year we plan on taking the southern route and seeing New Mexico, Arizona and California once again. This last trip was number 6 traveling around our great country.

Phil

We are getting ready to do similar. Next week we are headed up to Bellevue Wa for a few days and then to Wash DC, Fla, and across the south back to OR.

I hope you have as good a time as we did. It was nice to go back and visit places we had seen before as well as see some new ones along the way. Have a ball.

We did the month of June and 5000 miles in our RS26 Quantum (same floorplan as your 26B) going through Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and back home. Next year we plan to do the Northern route and see the giant red woods and on up into Oregon.

Our next year trip will hopefully include returning to New Orleans again followed by a extended stay in Nashville. After that we will head across to New Mexico, Arizona and California. Not sure after California yet.

We do love being on the road.

.
If you pass through Las Cruces, you have to stay at Sunny Acres RV Park. You'll be blown away and convenient to everything. Be sure to check out the bath house. By all means, stay the hell away from Albuquerque

And we are just heading out from home on Whidbey island to visit our old stomping grounds in Maine and Massachusetts (with our tandem bicycle in back to do our favorite charity ride one more time). Today is day one, and so far the Vegas and all the various repair are holding up. Third time repairing the slide out in one year.

Have a great trip. When we head back to Whidbey I will reach out to you so we can have a possible visit.

Absolutely - that would be great. And we have an island RV spot with nice mountain and water views.

Wow! A bunch of nice long trips planned. We went to Arizona for the winter as our first "snow bird" trip last January. Being home in Central Washington for the nice weather here. We have had our rig out for 2 or 3 short trips, but nothing extended like Ya'll have planned.
Safe travels all!
