We packed up and moved south to Yuma yesterday. To much bad weather to travel north from Phoenix. Much better temperatures.

Thanks for posting the beautiful Pics! I'm still stuck runnin up & down the E. Coast in my new rig, avoiding the big freezes, waiting for my tags to finally come in, fixing warranty issues & also hoping my house sells while I'm stuck...I thought I'd be in Arizona or California by now visiting family & enjoying the warmth...Please keep posting your pics - I can try to live vicariously thru them, or at least dream of somewhere warm, lol![emoji846]

We are happy with this second RV Park we got into yesterday. It's the "West Wind RV & golf resort" (for anyone that is interested). Newer RV's, pool, free wifi @ the library/pool area. On-site Cafe & lounge and lots of activities to partake of if interested. Not many pictures taken because DESERT. lol

We are at Leaf Verde rv park. It is clean, well run, but very tight quarters for parking the rv's.
I'll see 27 tonight in Tucson. Woke to this this morning. Yup, that's snow...

Arizona ain't been all that warm. It was actually warmer in Quartzsite than it is here in Tucson and it's further north. Go figure.

Thats normally the case, Tucson can get pretty chilly. I have seen snow there on several occasions. Aunt and Uncle used to winter there for about 30 years. We always tried to make it a point to go down from Phoenix and visit a few times every winter. Its the higher altitude.

Hey 99dart, are you having fun yet? :-) When you went through Indio, were you on Hwy 395? And did you go through Lone Pine or Bishop?

I lived in Lone Pine in the late 60's. Neat little one horse town. That was a long time ago though, probably has street lights and everything now.

Enjoy your trip!

We had 31 & 33 a couple nights in Buckeye. Had planned to go North, thought we'd better change that plan!

We rolled north on 95 from Yuma yesterday. Wow, talk about rough, roller coaster roads! Stopped at Fort Mojave, AZ to visit a friend of my wife's for the day. Headed towards Bakersfield tomorrow. We don't like thinking about going home to SNOW! YUK!

Watch out for the cow poop storms on the 5 north of Bakersfield!!!

My kids didnt understand why I hated dairy cows growing up, till we had a road "brown out" as the sheis blew thru hittin & coverin the vehicle & hood in sheis, blockin out road visibility & requirin the use of the windshield wipers that mostly smeared the mostly dried (but some muddy) sheis - and did I mention the smell???

No amount of blockin the vents could defend against that smell that permeated the vehicle & our clothing long after ws reached my mother's house 3 hrs later.

It was so bad to my teenagers unaccustomed senses that my youngest threw up & then looked at me in total bewilderment which quickly turned to anger bc I was laughin my a$# off & couldn't seem to stop - his vomit smelled better than the bloody clouds of poop blowin by...I tol him he'd have thought it was funny too if he'd spent every other year of his life workin on a northern Minnesota family farm...[emoji23] [emoji35] [emoji202]

*The pix is from 1978, me in my pig boots & bikini top, ready to do battle w/the farm chores. It was time to haul feed to the stock, which my baby sis loved to do with me. I was 14 yrs old & way too proud of my farmer's license; but that didn't impress mom! She'd only let lil sis ride w/me if she was wearing a snow mobile helmet, lol!!!Click image for larger version
