You can't do better than the Wright-Patterson AFB Famcamp.

Thanks! Wife and I are civilians, it’s son-in-law that’s active duty officer. I’ll have him check about access for us.
I see lots of lakes all up I-75.. a few state parks, but websites have no campground maps or info I can find.

If you have a smartphone try the app 'RV Parky'. Its my go-to for finding a park, has good info.

If that doesn't work out the Dayton KOA isn't bad. It is a bit out of town, however.

Another vote for the Dayton KOA. We stayed there last year for the dedication of the newly restored Memphis Belle. It is a bit of a drive to Wright Patterson but the campground is very nice. Lots of shade, quiet, nice lots.
