I’m in Worcester Massachusetts these days. Today I spent the day at Walden Pond. If you are going to be in Mass, you gotta visit Walden Pond. We actually got lost. HaHa!

I've made it all the way south to my friend's house on the Chesapeake. The closest big city is Newport News, VA. It was a six hour drive from Worcester, MA. A really long tiring haul. But I was amazed that the traffic wasn't too bad on the Beltway.

Monday, I plan to take about a week driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway to Floyd VA (stopping in a few places along the way). I am a BIG bluegrass fan and plan to stay about a week and enjoy the music at the Floyd Country Store.

My latest stop is in Chattanooga TN. An old work mate invited me to Thanksgiving Dinner. I hope all of you got to celebrate with family and friends. The picture is from the top of Lookout Mountain, the site of a famous Civil War battle.

gbrown, where is your "winter" spot going to be? I assume you will be heading in that direction soon?

In the last 3 weeks, I have been moving south. I spent Thanksgiving in Chattanooga, TN. Today, I am in the south of Alabama. In 4 days I will turn west on US10.

But...
To answer your question, I am cruising the southern USA.

After eating my way trough Louisiana with Po Boys, étouffée, boudin, and gumbo, I'm now in Texas for the rest of the year. I'm currently in Houston and my friend's daughter Sophia, arranged to give me a tour of NASA

Hello folks! Well the cold snap in the south east drove me to Arizona. Unfortunately too early for Spring Training (which WAS a goal). So that can wait for next year.

To me, Phoenix is just a large retirement village. It is fine for many. But not my cup of tea. I prefer the outskirts in a nice RV Park.

Yesterday I met up with an old friend and we went to the Garret-Jackson Auction. It was opening day. Some very fine machines. Especially the new Ford shown below.

Tomorrow, I'm off to Sedona with an old college friend.

Next week, is Vegas baby, in my Vegas named Sinatra.

Where are you planning on "camping" at in VEGAS?

Any problems pulling the Element 4 down? I read in the manual that they are not to be towed 4 down except for an emergency. I know there is a procedure to follow prior to pulling 4 down. I have an 09 and plan on pulling on a dolly.

I have flat towed my 06 Element for a year with no problem. Understand that I have a manual transmission. I checked online and all said that it is poissible. There are no special instructions needed. I did have a trickle charger installed that is powered off the 12V connection from the RV.

I don’t know about the automatic transmission.

I'm back on the road. Today I made it to Auburn CA near Grass Valley and the California Gold Country. Pics to follow...

I've been heard up in Santa Clara CA for the last two months getting an eye operation, three crowns and a root canal, and getting some work done on the RV. But I am finally able to travel again.

It felt SO good to be behind the wheel just driving.

The first stop on this trip was Minden NV. It's a beautiful valley about 30 minutes south of Reno. I discovered two very cool towns on side trips; Virginia City and Genoa.

I'm in Newport Oregon. What a beautiful place. The RV Park is run by the Port Authority and is right next to the marina. And to add a bonus, it is within crawling distance of the Rogue Distillery.

The park is right under the famous Yaquina Bay Bridge.

Well, once again, I forgot that the July 4th weekend requires reservations months in advance. I was (and still am) headed to Prescott AZ to see if that is where I want to build my RV Port cabin.

But meanwhile, I found out that there are no RV sites available until after the 4th. So I am stuck in the San Francisco Bay area. Then I remembered that there is a spot called Pillar Point RV Park on the coast in Half Moon Bay. It is first come, first served and had an opening. So I grabbed it yesterday.

This morning, the camp host woke me up and said that I could move to a full ocean view site. I jumped on it and will stay here on the Pacific coast until July 8th.

It's beautiful out here. This is the view from my RV.

I'm in Prescott AZ. It is one of the places that I am looking into as a permanent home. What I discovered is called monsoon season here in the desert. For an hour or two a day, the sky opens up and the lightning gets way too close for comfort.

Grand Canyon. What can one say? Simply the most magnificent views in the world. I took the sunset trip. The lady dancing was the guide, Grace. She was laughing at one of my puns.
