Quick trip report from April. Maria and I along with Dave, Sundance, and his wife drove up to Lake McSwain. Its located easy of Merced off the 99. We met up with a group from the Elks Club from a near by town. Dave has camped with them before. All very nice people.
Tha cg was very nice on a small lake that is feed by the modesto river
I fished a couple days from shore for nothing but a spider bite in the middle of my back. It bothered me for 3 weeks.
Met a local at the boat ramp and he invited me to fish with him for two days. We had a blast and caught a lot if trout.
I love the out doors and wild life. First night i heard wild turkeys. Maria and i got into the jeep and hit some near by trails but never found them.
The next morning we heard them in the cg. I pulled a youtube video of a hen calling. It took a bit but i got a jake to cone into my site
I have wanted to hunt and kill a big tom for years but never get tge chance. Somethibg always comes up. Got a few pics and sent him away.
We did several dinner with the Elks and some greats time. Many nice and very interesting group of people. Hope they let me join then again.
Didnt take a lot of pics but ill post what i can
Before i go i ran into a propane problem gas was not flowing to the stove. Open/closed tge valve. Did some checks inside stove. Concluded i was low or out of out of gas. I never refilled it since owning it. Inside and outside the meter said 2/3 fill. Couldn't find a problem. Checked the outside valve one more time. While closing the valve i realized i was openning it. Now i know it was open when i left home because i check the fridge to make sure it was running in gas mode and i cooked a couple breasfast already. So i of two things i never fully openned the valve at home or someone closed it as a joke. I blamed Dave but he said he wasn't smart enough to think that joke.
Anyways it was fixed. So heres a few pics. Enjoy and thanks for reading
Jerry

This is the only forum I have ever been a member of that does that with the pics. Must be an "auto-rotate" feature the admins have enabled for who knows what reason.

I think is because of the size of the pictures uploaded that triggers the "auto-rotate"

Albuquerque Balloon Festival trip started today. I'll try to post daily for the very few people interested
Day 1 was travelled. 470 mile to Sedona Az. Nice 9 hour drive.
First time here for Maria and I. My buddy Jeff is with us for this trip.
Rancho Sedona RV park. Out spot is kind of narrow but the park us very nice and clean. Its beautiful here. After setting up camp we went into town for just a bit to see where everything is
I
Tomorrow starts the sight seeing as long as the hurricane coming up from Mexico doesn't ruin it. It looks like the storm is following us. Rain is expected for tomorrow off and on and 100% on Tuesday. Wish us luck
Jerry
PS the new sewer hose support works great but for this site the sewer was only about 4 ft from the mh and the support is 5ft. This will definitely be good for the longer runs

Hey Jerry! Enjoyed reading your trip experiences so far. Wanted to ask you as a fellow tall person (I'm 6'6") and having a not tall wife (she's 5'4"), any issues I should look out for? Wife and I are starting our first RV search soon and don't want to run into any issues. For example...no leg room to drive, wacking my head, wife not able to reach things...etc.
Thanks in advance and keep the trip posts coming!
Burt
