We are travelling with my buddy Jaime, His wife Stephanie, their three boys, JD Joshua and Jacob and Jaime's mother Carmen. The boys are the best behaved kids I've every seen

I worked with Jaime for 20+ years. I was one of his training officers after he graduated from the police academy. I also trained him when he came into the detective bureau.

We will travel with them all the way to Philly. Then seperate

JD has been busy keeping my windows clean

We hit about two hours of rain today and the my is super dirty. Mainly from passing semi's throwing dirty road water on us

Another 7 hour drive us we lost another hour. That's 2 hours due to time zone

Gas prices are getting better. Sams club $2.41 gal. We then bought a few things at Sam's and Walmart

Got to Midland rv set up camp quick then jump in my buddies Fleetwood. We went for a tour of the house where President George W Bush was born. George H and Barbara bought the house in 1939. W and a couple sibling were born there but they were only there for a few years. H and famy moved a lot as H was building his oil business

Pretty interesting history about two great American presidents

We then drove to the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant for a great porterhouse dinner. I'm stuffed

Tomorrow we might change plans and drive to Waco Tx. Maria and Stephanie, wife of our travel partners, want to see some reality star shop or something. I don't know who they are but I know it will add a couple hours to our drive.

Let's talk poop!!!

If you want to skip this I understand. Day 4 will be posted soon

Last night at 930 Maria tells me the toilet is plugged up. I check and it sure is. Water up to the valve. I know its not full because I dumped it earlier.

Well the next thing I can think is that damn angle shute from toilet to tank is clogged with paper and other goodies

So my first thought was a plunger. I don't have one. Then check with my buddy, nope. Search the cg bathrooms nope again

What to do?? Unhook jeep drive to Walmart. Then I remember that 2-1/2' piece of plastic pipe toilet cleaner. It has holes on one end and can screw onto a hose. I turn off water and shove the pole down the toilet. I can feel the paper packing up on the bottom and other stuff coming to the top. Isn't rving fun

I keep at it and it finally breaks free. Yeah!!!!!

Fill the tank two times and dump. Its now clean

I use the cg bathrooms so I know I have to give Maria a flushing lesson. Fill the bowl with water before flush your stuff and paler down

Water is your friend!!!!

Hopefully I won't have to do this again

Got to bed after my shower at 1030

Jerry

Day 4. Midland Tx to Royce City Tx

Dallas Northeast cg. Nice big sites. Friendly staff

We got here at 6pm after a long side trip to Waco. As I said a couple posts up the girls wanted to go to Magnolia owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines.

We started at 6 am with rain and lightning. Got out of the storm in 30 minutes or so. Couple hours later when we turned south for Waco we hit the rain again. All the way to Waco. On the way we found a small chocolate store. They make everything there. Nice shop. Once in Waco the rain stopped and we had 80* + temps and 200% humidity. Shops were crowded but the food trucks had good BBQ brisket sandwiches and chili dogs

After 2 hours we headed to the cg. Hit stop and go traffic but we made it at 6 pm

I'm exhausted my foot hurts, and its swollen. broke the little toe two weeks ago. Walked into the leg of the bed

We will get up and be on the road at 4am. Hot Springs Arkansas. We gave a boat rented for the day. If all goes right we'll be that at 9. Hopefully no bad weather. Haven't checked the weather channel yet

That's it. Time for shower and a good night sleep

I have always had problems with our toilet which is why I made the “s*** stick” to flush dokey off of the little shelf under the toilet. One thing I did find that helped was having the MH tilted slightly to the right.

Hope you are having a great time! I took Myra to the Magnolia store in Waco a couple of times, she Loved it!!! Safe travels!!!

Jerry, Don’t know if it’s out of your way but try to go to Eureka Springs AR. Couple of nice campgrounds there and lots to see and do! No 4 way intersections in town, lots of Ripleys Believe it or Not Stuff there. The outdoor Passion Play is an absolute must to see!!! Two Dumb Dames Fudge Factory downtown is AWSOME, Fudge and saltwater taffy that is die for. I lived in Oklahoma for many years and visited Eureka many times, trout fished in the White River. You will not regret stopping in Eureka Springs for a couple of days!!!

Day 5. Left at 430 to get to the lake early. 5 hours easy drive with the last half hour of very narrow twisting road. I would have thought the mh would make it and never would have guessed it lead to such a large lake

We were on the water by 10. Kids got to be pulled by the boat on large rafts. We all swam, water was nice in the 90* heat. Finished at 5 and made our way to hot springs koa. Another nice cg with super friendly stall. This cg is on a hill and its a tight fit to the pull thur sites

Pics tomorrow. Also tomorrow Maria and I are doing a hot spring bath, massages, and what ever the spa can sell me

Its been 5 days of driving and we need a good day of rest

Jerry

Wonderful travelogue here! Always an adventure or two on each trip. We leave next week on a 6 week tour of the northwest. Have fun and be safe my friend. BTW, I really like my CHF with your front link extenders. I’ve also added a 5 star tune for the trip and like it also. All the best.

Day 6. Last day here at Hot Springs

Maria and I went into town. Had lunch then walked around the shops. Maria bought a few tops. We had ice cream and cup cake. Yumm

Then we went to Quapaw spa. First was the couples bath. Bathing suit optional

Great mineral bath in 102* mineral water. Then a 50 minute massage. Have to say I was a little disappointed in the massage. I wanted a deep tissue massage. Didn't get that. It was a good massage but not what in wanted

Overall great day

Off to Tennessee tomorrow. Tanks are clean, jeeps hooked up, early 6am departure time. 425 mikes tomorrow the longest day for our entire trip

Jerry
