I wouldn't expect much less, from "La-La Land"...

But have they criminalized poverty... or perhaps wealth??

It's good to know that I've got another reason to stay away...

What the heck do they think an RV is for? Glad I didn't leave anything their worth going back for. Sorry, honey. You're on your own.

So it appears you guys think its a bad law. Not me. I dont want people in cars or rvs sleeping in front of my house. No good could come of it only problems.

LA homeless problem is huge. Camps made from cardboard, tarps and tents everywhere. Along the freeways, riverbeds, and under every over pass. People begging at every corner.

THe City of LA actually ripped up a parking lot for court employees in downtown to make a park/homeless encampment. Employees are now forced to find pay to park lots and walk several blocks (if they were lucky to find a lot close by) to get to work.

Im surprised LA is doing this. THe Libs running this state and city usually go out of their way for homeless. Im surprised they havent built giant parking structures for homeless with cars, at the expense of tax payers of course

It surprised me too, knowing who is running Los Angeles, let alone the whole state. I did read where the law expires in July of 2018 so they can see what the impact was. I saw that Orange County is moving all of the homeless camps off of the bicycle path that runs right by Disneyland.

Seattle has a large homeless population also. They are constantly moving their encampments in an effort to clean things up and appease the people complaining about them. Now Seattle is proposing "safe injection sites" for addicts! Yes, let's supply them with clean needles/syringes/alcohol so they can stay HIGH!!

Agree. I wouldn't want strange cars or RVs parked in front of my house either.

The article says law applies to residential areas, so still lots of places for cars and RVs to park in non-residential locations.

The problem I see with letting anyone (rich or poor) park anywhere for the night is that the most desirable areas in the country would be bumper-to-bumper with campers staying for free. What would keep 1,000s if not millions of vehicles from parking along famous beaches, parks, etc.? I'd bet any of us who tries to overnight in an RV along Central Park or South Beach would get run off quickly.
