Penn Turnpike

I was curious if you can boondock for a night at the service plaza's on the trunpike...just for one night.

We did that a few years ago (in our 5th wheel) on the Penn Turnpike..

I don't think any rules have changed since then.

We drove yesterday from Pittsburgh to Virginia...saw alot of trucks but no Rv's...was middle of the day though, they may have left earlier in the day. Taking that route next month to Illinois and looked easier than getting off and finding a Walmart for the night just to sleep a few hours.

Many states (not sure about PA) have signs prohibiting overnight parking...
That said - most nights the lots are full of those doing just that.


I've done it when needed - and never had an issue.
Theory is there are more important things for LE to deal with. If they knock on my door - I was too tired to drive - just stopped to take a nap, and I'll be on my way. Haven't had to answer the door yet.
