Rt 17 east coast vs I95

Does anyone use rt 17 instead of I95 how is it for 40ft class A. Thanks in advance.

North Carolina has been upgrading from the Virginia border South. From Virginia border to Williamston you will have no issues. A lot of open, smooth 4 lane highway with some small towns, traffic lights, but very rural. However below Williamston 17 turns into a two lane highway. At Old Ford it turns back into 4 lane highway. It switches back to 2 lane again South of Chocowinity. Then back to 4 lane at Vanceboro. Below there I have no experience. Haven't been further South than that since the 70s...Lol

I’ve taken Rt17 from VA line to Wilmington for stay at Fort Fisher USAF Campground in my 32’ Windsport , had no problems, nice easy drive....
