The wife and I spent this past weekend there and for the price it's not bad. $41 a night for full hookups with 50amp service and it goes down to $30 after Labor Day. The facility has a pool, miniature golf, tennis and basketball courts, a fitness center, a fishing pier, boat launch, and is open year round. It is open to active and retired military, 100% disabled veterans, and DoD civilian personnel.
It appears that the majority of the campers and motor homes at the facility are people actually living there. Although according to the rules the maximum stay on a particular site is 90 days.
We had site 44 in Section C which was a 60' grass corner site, shaded with a picnic table and a grill. All in all it was a good weekend, spent most of our time fishing, and we plan on coming back again in September or October.
The below website, U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks, has more information as well as directions and pictures of the facility.
