Radarnow gives you real time radar. They have forecasts but I don't know where they come from. The radar has saved us MANY times on our last cross country trip.
We were able to dodge storm cells all across LA, GA, Ms and AR and OK.
We took some very small roads but were seldom hit headbon during that early May 2019 set of storms.
We dodged snow storms from Salt Lake to the grand canyon with it recently. Changing roads, speeding up, slowing down, hunkering down for an hour.... We missed all the mess at the end of May 2019.
I have a 10 "screen devoted to it at home and in the rv and it lives on my phone when out on a 4x4 escapade.
For the house we have an acurite 6in1(?) weatherstation tied into weather underground. I get notice, worldwide, of foul weather right happening at my doorstep. I can look at the weather cam, and I can kill house power if the storm is lightning heavy.

Has a picture of a Radarnow screen.
National Fire Situational Awareness. It's an app/web page.
It's not only weather that will jack you up on a trip.
I have a long story of a 3 hour trip turning into a 12 hour trip due to fire detours....
