Colorado or Canyon

Looking for a 4WD Ciolorado or Canyon as a toad. 2005-2010. Currently have a 2006 CRV, whch is awesome to tow but I need a vehicle that can, also, tow a small trailer.

Same vehicle, why not tow a small trailer with the CR-V?

I agree: isn't that a viable option?

Not even close to same vehicle. CRV is on a unibody frame and will only tow 1500#. I need to put a mobility scooter lift on the vehicle. With the weight of the lift and a scooter the "tongue" weight is 300-320. Way too much for a hitch on the CRV. Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it.

That makes sense now... It's about a scooter carrier: not a trailer!

Yes. I should have been more clear. Thanks

Once we figured it out: no problem!

And good luck in your search!

I installed a receiver hitch from etrailer on our CR-V and can tow a small trailer but mostly use it for a hitch mounted bike rack. I meant the Colorado and Canyon are the same vehicle with different badging.

Thanks for the info. I put a hitch on my CRV not thinking about the unibody/tongue weight issue. You are 100 correct that Colorado and Canyon are the same. Hard to find one with reasonable miles and in good condition. I will sell my 2006 CRV with 125K, in excellent shape, all set up for towing, when I find a truck.

Will the CRV be for sale? I may be in the market for a toad. If so, $$$, and location.

Regards!

Yes CRV will be for sale when I find the right truck. Could be a while or maybe not.
