2013 Palazzo Front Slide Problem

At the end of the travel day yesterday during set up the front slide would not extend fully and evenly. As it reached nearly full extension it started making some thumping noises from the rear area of the slid and it did not extend the last several inches. Right before it stopped there was a loud bang that sounded sort of like something that was being bent out of position, suddenly released and sprang back into position (that is my interpretation of the noise).
I retracted it and it seemed normal but repeated the problem on extension. At one point I stopped it and it was square with the wall. Front and rear were 5 inches out. But it shortly started getting catty-wampus. And, when it stopped the front of the slide rim was against the wall even thought it appears the bottom may be out an about an inch more then the top (that may be normal, I have never looked that close). But at the rear the edge of the slide is 2.5 inches from the wall at the top and 4.5 inches at the bottom. For comparison the front edge top is 1.5 inches and the bottom front is 2.5 inches. It appears it ought to be 1.5 inches at all 4 corners.
I had other things to keep me busy today so I have not investigated it anymore. It appears that we can retract the slide fully to travel but it is definitely not right as extended now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. We have only had the coach +2 months so I am still learning about it but turning to the forum as one of my resources.
