I confirmed with Atwood in December 2014 - their hot water heater does not use nor need an anode rod.

Where's the plumbing for the bathroom lavatory?

Larry: That is the diagram for a 25.1 and thus will look different from your 24.1.
(Someone else posted the 24.1's diagram in a different thread on here.)
Note: Stool = toilet, the shower is called out as is the "Lav" (which is the separate sink in the 25.1)

Thanks for this... The Thor supplied manual didn't mention there was another by pass switch!! I think I found it.

Hi Footloose,

Same thing happened to me today... No water in the tank as the dealer "winterized" it. But unfortunately after discovering the properly release value near the heater ( not th one under the bed as the dealer told me), I still have no heat. So, off to a repair shop this year to see what is wrong. Did yours finally work?

My RV people were incorrect and as you all mentioned, no anode on my Atwood heater. I'm going back to a plastic plug just to be safe. Very informative comments, thanks.
