2015 THOR WINDSPORT 34F Furnace Board Fried - Water Leak
I just filed this claim with THOR and also with Camping World. Unsure if I'll get any satisfaction or not.
Anyone out there that has this RV, the technician recommended installing a "dryer vent cover" over the vent on the outside of the furnace, otherwise this will be a recurring issue.

I have a 2015 Thor Windsport 34F. The FURNACE on this motorhome has been built with a manufacturer's defect. There is a vent on the furnace outside that allows water to come into the furnace.
It was raining, and water leaked inside my furnace, and caused my circuit board to fry. I called a technician, who replaced my circuit board and it cost me $425. I am in Georgia, where it gets cold in the winter time, and I had NO CHOICE but to replace that board so that I could have heat.
I tried to file the claim through my extended warranty, through Good Sam Extended Warranty, and they DECLINED the claim because of a water leak.
This RV is brand new. It's only 18 months old and it is unmodified and not customized in anyway. I feel THOR is responsible for this because the way that you built the motorhome is allowing rainwater to get into the motorhome.
I had this furnace serviced in April of 2016 by Camping World of Kissimmee, FL. I paid hundreds of dollars then for furnace maintenance, and now I just had to pay another $425 for this service call.
I am very upset about this. The next time it rains here, which will be next week, this circuit board could get fried again because there is no way to stop rainwater from getting in there.
What do I do? I'm very upset as a customer of THOR.
I wish to be reimbursed for $325 of my $425 invoice, since my extended warranty would have covered all except a $100 deductible.
