THOR #3770
2016 Vegas 24.1 Bathroom Fan replacement

Original fan wasn't a good quality unit and the opening mechanism failed. So purchased a MaxxFan 4000K from Amazon. Fan removal and installation was pretty routine. Several YouTube videos give all the details.

The complication was the persistent leak on the outboard aft corner of the fan, adjacent to the skylight. Second leak. Had Camping world goop it up the first year we owned the Vegas.

When I removed the fan the skylight flange was over the fan flange, and the screws that held the skylight in place had cracked the skylight flange.

If I did this again, I'd order a new skylight.

Course the better choice would be Thor separating the two units. Smaller size fan?
