Have generator running and get breaker on, thermostat will run heat , fan, but Air will blow out of roof unit (warm) but thermostat on cool and auto.... No Click on thermostat and Nothing out of roof air just idle. Breaker in panel is on. I'm stumped! I did take off inside cover and all wires look connected.

It's a long shot, but I once saw a mobile tech working on a roof A/C, the problem that day turned out to be a huge wasp nest that was preventing the fan from turning. After removing that, it worked fine.

Thank you for the reply! I have taken apart everything I know of in coach on roof etc. Unit has 1700 miles. Only thing I didnt change was the thermostat the thermostat works on everything except when you put it on cool it will not work. Not on Shore power or generator just seems like the unit is not getting power on the roof. I was going to take it apart and go get a new one at Home Depot but the wires were soldered into it and very short in the wall as far as extra wire. I have an appointment for Wednesday morning to go to General RV the only problem is it's two hours away I would burn up twice as much gas not counting the time then just buying a brand new thermostat if that is what the problem is. We are leaving for Yellowstone Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills on Sunday so I was trying to get it fixed once again thanks for the reply I appreciate it.

I had a similar issue on our very first RV: Turned out that the neutral wire was loose in the junction box (in that RV the junction box was just inside the intake of the A/C--had to take apart the inside cover to get to it).

I was on the roof and took apart the cowl took apart the whole front of the unit just a piece of tin I went into that part you talked about and I undid the wing nuts and retighten them and retaped them I did not check with a gauge for electricity because I don't have a meter and I'm really bad at electricity so everything looked ok to me I appreciate your help and you getting back to me I do have an appointment for Wednesday morning and if I don't get it fixed by then I will reply back and let you know what happened thank you!

No shame in turning to the pros when you run out of time or ideas! Forum members have answered many riddles with simple solutions, just not this time. Please report back with the answer to this one.

I will. The bad part for me was when I was up there last month I told them it wasn't working they claimed it was some cool switch that it was too cold outside and that they heated it up inside their shop and it was working I don't know if I believe them now the only problem now is I have a hole day shot also have to drive through Chicago there and back to get there and probably 60 bucks worth of gas but we'll see I'll report back thank you.

I just got home from General RV. Thank you guys on the Forum for helping me out. Even though the furnace, fans, everything Worked on thermostat... but "Cold & High" Air would Not kick on. Defective Thermostat was my issue and was replaced. This is on a brand new unit. I hope this could help someone in the future.
