2018 Axis 25.5 - No Hot Water

I recently took my new Axis 25.5 out of storage and when I try to run hot water I get nothing hot or cold. When I have cold turned on I get cold. This is true for holding taking and city water.

I have the tankless hot water heater. As such there does not seem to be a hot water bypass valve.

I picked up the RV in December and had the dealer winterize it while I was doing paperwork.

Any thoughts on what I could have missed when de-winterizing my Axis?

Thanks,
David

There may be a cutoff to stop water from entering the water heater supply. That would be why you get no water of any kind when you open a hot tap.

First of all: what model year is your Axis? Does it have the demand water heater (tankless) or the old model with a tank?

With a tank your valves may be setup for winter bypassing the water heater. If you do have a tank do not turn the electric heater on until you know you have water going through it--you may burn up the element. (That is a way to know if you have a tank or not as the tankless units don't have the electric option.)

JamieGeek,

It is a 2018 25.5 with the tank less hot water heater.

It seems like water is never getting to the hotwater heater if I turn any of my faucets to hot I get nothing (not even cold water). I can't seem to find a water cut off valve for the hotwater (at least not where the water pump is). The only on/off switch I can find is on the heater itself, that I can only access by opening the outside door. It was left in the on position after the dealer winterized it.

Thanks,

Is that panel below the pantry removable? Perhaps the valve you're looking for is in there (from pictures that looks like a cold air return vent..take it off I bet you'll find all kinds of stuff back there--on the 24.1 that is where the water heater valves are).

Is you water tank under one of the beds? Another possible valve location.

Jamie,

I removed the panel this afternoon. I didn't see anything at first but got on my back and traced the water lines up behind the panel I found two hidden valves (one into the tankless HW heater and the second one going out) they were both closed. I opened them up and had water flowing out of the hot sides of the faucets.

Thanks for your help.

Do you have power to the control panel for the tankless hot water system?
Ours just kind of sits there quietly...
As soon as it gets a call for hot water: it lights up, and things start looking busy!
I'd check to make sure that you have power to whatever it is that lights it up also! Happy hunting, and good luck!
