AC problem

2016 Thor Siesta 24st. Trying to fix for a friend... finally got the AC to come on using shoreline power. But cant get it to come on using the genset. Yes I have checked voltage to the outlets and have 120v. Could it be the Diametic thermostat? It took 45 minutes just to figure the sequence to set the clock so it would come on. Why doesn't it just have an option for manual ON!

There is a separate circuit breaker on the side of the generator frame. It has probably tripped.

Yes, very familiar with the Onans. The breaker is not tripped but it does seem really weak.
