We had a great vacation in the Smokies and got home Aug 26. I thought i’d climb on the roof of the coach ahead of the next few days of heavy rain headed our way. Found the shroud over the shower seriously cracked and open to the elements. No time to fix it properly so eternabond to the rescue. Also discovered this smash in the fiberglass? bunk over cab. How does that get fixed? I’d be happy if I could just keep the water and sun off it. Should I cover it with eternabond too? The whole coach will be wrapped in this stuff at this rate.

Good thing you went on the roof. I need to get a roll of that stuff for emergency.

Hard to tell what your talking about on the bunk area. Is it the curved line on the front? Is that a large crack? OMG. I guess tape it for now. But its in a highly visable area so not sure If I would use white tape. Perhaps some clear epoxy and a small model brush or tooth pick to apply?

Do some searching on the old Inter-web and see what others have used. I would look at Youtube as well.

Let use know how it turns out.

I've got nothing for you about solutions....
But do you have any idea as to what might have caused this damage?
Good luck with the repairs!

Usually its tree branches that do that kind of damage. Trees are beautiful and I love them, but they can be an RV'ers nightmare.

Suggest you do a search on the web, or maybe just on Youtube for fiberglass repair. That can probably be patched in fairly easily.

Since the shower dome is compromised, I would order and install a new outer one. They aren't that expensive. Thieves broke both outside and inside domes on my previous coach to gain entry. Found nothing to steal, but left me with a repair job that turned out to be not that hard to do.

That spider web "splatter crack" looks like a rock or something big hit it, similar looking to windshield damage. I would call one of the auto glass repair companies like Safelite and see if they can vacuum the air out and suck some type of epoxy down into the cracks. Covering it up would only trap any moisture that may be inside.

We had a spider crack like that on the lower bumper of our Axis. We ended up having to get it fiberglassed over and painted.

Here is the cracks/blister in the passenger side fog lamp recess:

The repair people said that it was going to be very difficult to match the base color of the gelcoat because of the fading. Instead they matched the dark brown stripes on the side (and thus gave us a very unique Axis, however subtle):
