Driving light intermittent issue

I have been fighting a battle to get my front driving lights to work correctly for just a little more than a month. The issue was front driving lights would intermittently work then not work. What follows is a summary I shared with Tom Overton - a senior CSR that has always been supportive and helpful. I post it to help fellow owners shortcut to a solution with similar issues.

"Tom, thank you for the wiring diagrams. They were mostly for the coach wiring not the chassis wiring. The problem was definitely in the chassis.

In the hopes that you can pass along to the assembly employees and as a future reference for you and fellow CSRs, here is the solv:.

1. Lights were intermittently an issue. Both while driving and while leveling. All the rear lights and signals worked fine but any front driving lights were a problem. This intermittent sort of issue most generally signals a lose connection. (Note: The leveling intermittent part lead to the resolution.)

2. Using your schematics and the logic diagrams available on line and after removing the dash cover, I followed ever electrical connection trying to induce the issue or find a loose connection. I tried in the engine compartment, again following the wires to and from the lights. The issue continued.

3. Yesterday I again opened the front engine compartment to check the oil and to check the vehicle suspension. I noticed a ground wire attached to the brace that holds the front cap in place. It appeared tight but after closer inspection it was loose. After removing the the bolt, I found the installer had elongated the attachment hole in the brace. Probably a case of the installer using either an air/electric racket and over tightening the self tapping screw.

I drilled an additional hole in the brace and carefully reattached the ground wire.

BINGO BANGO BONGO a nagging problem was fixed.

As always thank you for time helping me with the schematics. Hopefully you’ll pass this along to your build team. I will share with my fellow owners to perhaps help them avoid the same sort of issue."

Hope this helps someone else.
