ACE 29.4 Heat lighting and shutting off a lot

Newbie here...our new thor ace 29.4 RV heater does heat but it seems to light and shutoff a lot. Our RV neighbors have said we may have a problem. Is this normal? Thank you in advance.

What is your thermostat set at? If the inside temperature is 65 and you have the thermostat set to 67 it will only run a few minutes to bring the inside temp up to the thermostat temp.

It has been much different temps inside versus out on several different evenings.

It's not "inside vs out"; it's inside vs thermostat setting.

Is it comfortable inside? Does it feel like its staying at a consistent temperature (within 1 or 2 degrees)?

Its easier to notice the RV furnace cycling since it sounds like a jet engine when its running. If it is maintaining your set temperature in the RV it is probably ok.

You might want to check inside the furnace outside compartment for any wet electronic module problems that some of us get. I suppose if it runs long enough to do the job...its okay. If it stops before it gets you warm there may be a problem.
