AGS start

Does anyone know where I should set my automatic generator start and stop points at? I have a 2018 37rb.

Thru trial and error codes E01, I've set the volts on my Miramar to 12.0 volts. I've found that if I set it lower than 12 volts it may not always start, and when it does not start, it gives the E01 code. Once I set it to 12 volts it seems to consistently start and recharge the batteries. I suppose it may have to do with the spike in volts when the gen starts or maybe something else is trying to start simultaneously with the gen and it's just enough at that split moment to go below the threshold the AGS needs to start!

As for the temp, I do recall in the owner's manual it says to set your air conditioners approx 5 deg apart if running more than 1.

I'm sure one of the Macgyvers of the web board will come along and correct me!!

Hope this helps!!

If your batteries are good, you should be able to go as low as 11.8 - 12.0 and still start the generator. It is recommended to not allow deep cycle batteries to get below 50% charge before recharge. (You can go down to 25% - but each time decreases lifespan) Even though 11.8 is below 50% level, you need to take into account that the voltage referenced is taken at open circuit. Since your batteries are generally loaded then you have to adjust voltage downward to compensate.

State of Charge Sealed /Flooded Gel battery AGM battery 100%
12.70+ 12.85+ 12.80+
75% 12.40 12.65 12.60
50% 12.20 12.35 12.30
25% 12.00 12.00 12.00
0% 11.80 11.80 11.80
