Do you have a solution or fix yet for your slide?

schwintek and Good Sam

Total Frustration!
On the trip of a lifetime wit Grandkids, the schwintec slide for the living room failed in Dickerson ND. I called Good Sam - no one near me, wait until the next day and they will try to get someone out. The would repair if they could find someone to come, I was on I90 and I was on a schedule. I called Thor helpdesk and they helped me get it closed by creeping it in. On July 4th I took it to the local camping world in Fayetteville NC. 5 weeks later still not even looked at after they said Tuesday of each week I was next, they fired the service person. The new tech said I was next, I was skeptical. One week later the shwintek tech said the motor is bad and they will have to order parts. Big change, they called me! ( I am hopefull) They are the only show in town, and still the crappy slide is not working on my FE29 and all they asked is do you have extended warranty. I keep my FE29 in an aluminum building not exposed to the harsh sun and weather. We really enjoy it, when the cheap schwintek slide is working. I do agree that there is screws, nails, dirt everywhere you look from the construction. Thanks for providing the space to vent over the FE29 and the lack of timely repairs on a cheap schwintek system. BTW, I am still waiting after 6 weeks now. The Ford Chasis is Great, the RV not quite ready for prime time. TV wiring not ready for Satelite is another discussion. My hope is that I can use it over Labor Day.
Happy Trails!

Fix it yourself. It’s much cheaper and quicker.

Good Morning,

I am supposed to find out this week if it will be finished. Thanks for the response.
