You can add me to the list of those with missing end caps. Fell off the first trip out 2 years ago. Guess I should replace it.

Went on the awning web site and ordered the part. Easier than dealing with Thor and dealerships

I generally would advise every 5,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. The reason for doing so annually is to purge the impurities in the oil versus letting them it in the engine over winter storage.
I personally use Amsoil https://www.amsoil.com/ synthetic oil and filter for extended drain intervals in all my vehicles. That will take care of the engine for an entire year (25,000) miles; however, still change oil & filter every year before storing as mentioned above.

The silicone could go on the locking tab or to the sides of the tab

I used something called GOOP, that seemed to be more of adhesive than sealant. So far so good, but I try hard to look up while I'm going down small roads with limbs hanging over. Pretty sure I swiped mine off in the past.

Also, Thor rep sent me to an RV parts place in Elkhart to inquire for one. I've used the same place for something else that I cant remember at this time.
I can get the name and number if someone needs it.

After mine fell off i called Thor asking for the cover that fell off. They sent me complete cover front and back for both sides of the awning. This was after my warranty has ended. No charge. Just havent installed it yet
