Hmm we have an Ikea a few miles away; might have to stop and look.

The Ikea sink: 17 3/4" x 5 7/8" @ $46.98
The Dawn sink: 16 1/2" x 7 1/5" @ $119.00 (what its showing for my prime account)

I like the Ikea price but the Dawn sink is about 1.5" deeper. I guess the depth wouldn't be that important if you also replaced the faucet--ours doesn't have the pull out sprayer like Craig has in his pics.

Are those circumference sizes the top measurement or the hole size? Might make a difference on the size of the hole you have to cut.

Don't know: just the listed dimensions on the respective web sites (with no details as how they are measured).

Jamie...in addition...the faucet on the 2016 does have the pull down sprayer, and I think our faucet is slightly to the left from where yours is. (that may be just whoever cut the hole that day !!)
For me, and each person has their preference...the circumference is a little more important than the depth...unless it is extremely shallow...we don't have access to ours at the moment...what is the depth of the acrylic sink we have ?

Good question; don't know off-hand. I'm sure I'll be at the camper in the coming week; I'll try to measure it.

Hey, really like the look of the Stainless Steel sink. Once the original springs a leak looks like I have a project to add.

On a tangent issue I finally got the cover finished for the sink, took longer to get the routing done on the under side than anticipate. Now it is too pretty to use as a chopping board so I have to use an acrylic board on the top.

I find it odd that the 25.2 has a SS sink in the bathroom and a plastic sink in the kitchen. Go figure!
I wish they gave you the option to upgrade to SS.

I receive my Dawn 3235 Stainless Steel Sink yesterday and installed it today. Removing the stock plastic sink was pretty easy. There are 3 studs with wing nuts that are under the counter top and need to be removed before sink will come out. I had to take out the top drawer to access one of the wing nuts. Once the wing nuts were off, I unscrewed the "P-Trap" from the sink. Then I just tapped my HYDE putty knife under the lip of the sink and tapped it gently with a hammer. The sink popped up and came out easily. Unfortunately the new Dawn Sink required I enlarge the hole opening. The Dawn Sink came with a cardboard template. I centered it over the existing hole and traced the template with a pencil. The new opening requires you to cut off about 3/8" off the counter top. I used a Craftsman Vibrating Saw to cut the counter top. A Saber Saw (Hand Held Jig Saw) would probably work with a fine tooth saw blade. The counter top is pretty hard to cut. I went thru 2 blades and it took about 30 minutes to cut the larger hole. Dawn Sink fit great, just put some E6000 Adhesive under the rim and set it in place. I had to rotate the hole to line up with the existing P-Trap. Everything fit perfectly. Installed a new stainless sink strainer with plumbers putty and was done. Attached photos show old sink with wing nuts and 2 of the 3 pieces I had to cut out. All tools used and finished sink and under sink. Total project took about 2 hours including about an hour to vacuum up saw dust (fine powder).
Hi:
I received this exact sink today. I noticed that there are no mounting brackets for this sink. So, is the stability of this sink due to strong glue and the attachment to the p-trap? After having used it for some time now, did the sink maintain its stability? In other words, did it stay securely in place?
Thank you, V. H.

Dear V. H.

I used a clear silicone adhesive to basically glue the sink in place. I rotated the sink prior to installing the P-trap to make sure it was in the right location. The silicone will hold the sink in place and seal around the opening so water does not leak in under the rim of the sink and countertop. I've never had a problem with it coming unglued or leaking.

I think I posted this info once before...
I saw a stainless 16" sink at Ikea .. $50 ..
I figure..if and when I need to replace the sink in our kitchen
that will be the one for me. So far, our sink has held up well.

2013 Thor ACE 30.1 Sink Replacement

We replaced the plastic sink in our 2013 Thor ACE 30.1 with a stainless steel sink (Dawn 3235 from Wayfair). Such a great improvement and required only minor modifications to install. A plastic sink was a very poor choice for a kitchen sink!
