Axis will not start

We have 2015 24' Thor Axis. On 3 separate times the motor would not turn over even using the cabin battery boost. The first time we contacted a repair tech who said to put a battery charger on the engine battery to energize a solonoid. Has anyone else had this problem? Trying to figure something out before it goes back to CW

When did it not start? After a lengthy time in storage? Do you have access to power while its in storage?

A simple solution is to put a battery disconnect switch on the chassis battery. When leaving it in storage for any length of time simply open the disconnect.

Agree with Jamie...give us a bit more information...do you have it on Store when not in use? Do you have it on shore power while it is sitting in your driveway?
...there are several things which may be causing battery drain.

Yes it had been stored for about a month not connected to shore power with switch in the storage mode. We were just trying to figure out whether the cabin batteries or the engine battery needs to provide additional energizing. If a battery charger is attached in just a minute it will crank. Doesn't seem like a battery problem.

Yeah I just put disconnects on both the house and chassis batteries. It was a lot simpler than hunting down the slightest current draw (like when in store mode there is still power to the radio's keep-alive line).

I had the exact same problem and it was a completely dead battery. There are electical load on the battery even when the ignition is off. I replaced the battery with a larger battery and added a "kill switch" for storing the rig for over a few days.

We can do that but what is weird is batteries are not dead. Put the battery charger on the chassis battery and it starts right away.

We had that same problem, early on, after purchasing our Axis...we put it in storage in January..brought it out late March..and had an unrelated problem...and then, the batteries not holding a charge. Ron hooked up a trickle charger to the chassis battery when parked in the driveway and used that for several months..monitoring the water levels of the battery too...now, the chassis battery will hold the charge with no problem.
In addition...we make sure the Axxera radio is shut off and the light in the Jensen is turned off. It helps on the battery drain.
He hooks up shore power several days before we are leaving on a trip ... so, during the summer, when we are home and want to do a day trip somewhere..we are good to go !

A battery can have enough juice to power a few items such as lights, instruments etc... but not enough juice to spin the starter and engine.
