Wind Noise

Brand new Tuscany 38SQ - just drove home (5 hours) yesterday (2-24-18). TREMENDOUS wind noise coming from right front portion of windshield . . . really intolerable and unacceptable. Anyone experience this? What is solution - having windshield re-set and/or re-sealed? I cannot see any obvious problems with molding around this portion of windshield.

So I don't have a Tuscany but on the ACE the wind noise is a Biotch to figure out. I thought it was the passenger window, then with my gf in the passengers seat she said def not coming from the passengers window. She pointed to the windshield. The moulding was all in tact and tight so couldn't be from there. Turns out its from the front grill!! Researched on the Forum and sure enough it's the grill. I fixed it by ordering a grill section from Customcargrills.com and that took care of the hight pitch whistle. Yours might be from the same location?

Blue painter’s tape is your friend. Start masking off the windshield moldings, etc from where you think its coming from. If it’s gone, start removing piece by piece. Took me 3 months to solve, but finally got my Windsport 29M wind noise fixed. Mine was actually from the driver’s window - a little caulk on the bottom and it was gone. Relief. Hope you find yours too. Good luck.

Our ACE 30.3 has a horrible whistle in the rain. Only when it's raining, though. I'm about 90% sure it's the grill. /shrug

If your grill has the squares on it then it's the grill. If still under warranty then let Thor know and the will send you the honey comb grill. We replaced ours (actually CW did since it was still under warranty) with the honey comb grill and that stopped the whistling when raining, unless I'm the one that's whistling.

Or, put a screen on the inside of the grill. It also minimizes crap getting to the radiators.

My new 29m has the same noise issue. Happens at highway speed but not always. When it’s there, it’s LOUD. Dealer contacted Thor who says it’s the grill, they are sending me a screen that I believe is installed behind the grill. We’ll see.
